Midnight Files is a collection of strange, educational, and entertaining printable downloads inspired by horror, folklore, monsters, mysteries, crime themes, literature, and unusual history.
Are the downloads really free?
The free downloads on the site are free to download and print under the Download License. Premium books and collections may be offered separately.
How often are new free files released?
The site features a Today page and currently describes a new free Evidence Pack, but release timing can change. Check the Today page for the current featured download.
What format are the downloads?
Downloads are provided as PDF files unless a page says otherwise.
Do I need an account?
No account is required for the current free downloads.
Can I print the files more than once?
Yes. You may print copies for your personal use, your immediate household, or limited no-fee classroom, library, nursing-home, club, or nonprofit activity use.
Can I share the PDF files with other people?
Please share a link to the Midnight Files download page instead of uploading, emailing, reposting, or redistributing the PDF or image files.
Can I sell printed or digital copies?
No. The license does not allow selling digital files, printed copies, bundles, stock assets, print-on-demand products, or mass commercial printing without written permission.
Can teachers or organizations use them?
Yes, limited classroom, library, nursing-home, club, and nonprofit activity use is allowed when no fee is charged for the files and the files are not redistributed digitally.

Are the illustrations and activities suitable for children?
